| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
There were quite a few cars parked along the road when I got there but I'll assume most if not all were staying at the lodge. When I came back there a little after 11 there were many many more and more were coming. |

| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trail in great shape. The sign for Gorge Brook and associated trails is down so at the parking area boards it isn't obvious where to go. But if you follow the old road you will see the sign on the ground and turn left. But there is no sign at the next old road, and perhaps counterintuitively, you need to turn left and go down to the bridge. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Very easy trail for the mighty tough little dog, with just one short stretch of surface mud. Slopes easy, plenty of water and more dogs down low than he could shake a stick at. |

None. |

It was too nice not to hike despite limited time, so we did the Gorge Brook trail up and down. What a nice trail. We saw no one on the way up. The winds were fairly strong up top, but only on the very top or west of it were they strong enough to push one around. Just 15' or so down from the top on the east side and it was comfy in the sun. We ran into a nice guy who came up Snapper & Carriage and said they were in good shape. Starting about half way down the parade began, and there may have been more kids and dogs than adults. All very nice. So many of the kids were quite young. What a nice morning hike while the relatives slept. |
