| Comments: |
Perfect hiking temps today and nice views up top. There is significant leaf cover on the Centennial trail until just below East Hayes, enough to hide rocks roots and holes so keep an eye on your steps especially on the uphill stretches - the upcoming weather will make them really slick. There is a section of wet and slippery rocks and ledges heading up Easy Hayes that warrant some caution there is a small herd path you can use to avoid the worst stretch. On the short stretch of the Mahusooc leading to the summit of Hayes there are a few patches of deep mud - people have been walking along the edges to avoid. |
