Comments
Comments: We followed tracks in the snow made by the hikers from the previous day all the way to the summit of Potash Mountain. Good views from the view ledges nice and clear to Chocorua and beyond. We put on our light traction at the beginning of the ledges to the summit when trail swings right and easily scampered up to the very fine summit. Good views of Carrigain and the Captain and all the nearby peaks. We went back down the trail to below the summit ledges where we had our last good sight of our objective, put on our rain gear and began our bushwhack south. I led us to another fine view ledge and then swung a bit west to stay on the ridge. Alternating thick spruce and more open mature spruce all the way. Yes we got good and soaked since the temperature was increasing and melting the snow on the trees that rained down on us. Nice wooded summit knob, recognized highpoint, turned around and followed our tracks back. Thank you bryan for joining me today.
