|
| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
6 cars in the lot at 8:30 am and 15 at 1 pm. The lot was no longer icy but there are some big bumps heading in that could scrape bottom on a low clearance vehicle. |
|
| Surface Conditions: |
Snow - Packed Powder/Loose Granular, Snow - Wet/Sticky, Mud - Significant, Slush |
|
| Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
|
| Water Crossing Notes: |
None |
|
| Trail Maintenance Notes: |
There are a couple large trees across the trail, one on each side of Starr King that will require a larger saw than mine. I cleaned up the large tree top near the bottom that was causing a detour. |

| Dog-Related Notes: |
Easy hike for Marlie today. Saw 5 other dogs enjoying the day. |

Nice winter like hike to test out my new pack. I barebooted the whole way but some may prefer light traction. At higher elevation the trail was well packed making a nice snowy sidewalk. Down low it had turned to muddy slush by the afternoon. Nice to run into Jason, Andrew, Snowflea, & Fancypants along the way.
