Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Small Wood Road lot is even smaller, as it appears the landowner (state taxpayers paid for public easement) has pushed the boulders on two sides of the parking area a few feet closer.

Surface Conditions: Dry Trail, Ice - Black, Snow - Trace/Minimal Depth, Wet/Slippery Rock, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Mud - Minor/Avoidable

Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Rock hops between the pond and the Mack fire road. 
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: One large stepover birch on the state portion of the Round Pond Trail. Installed 24 feet of cribbed footbed on Round Pond-Piper Link and 1 rock waterbar on the Klem-Mack Loop.

Comments: Lower elevation trails were generally dry with some minor mud.
A dusting of snow in the upper elevations. Some areas of frozen ground, but generally thawed. Some black ice alternating with wet ledge in the vicinity of Mack and Klem.
