 | Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Plenty of parking off Maloon (sp?) road. |
 | Surface Conditions: |
Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Standing/Running Water on Trail, Snow/Ice - Frozen Granular, Mud - Minor/Avoidable |
 | Recommended Equipment: |
Light Traction |
 | Water Crossing Notes: |
Minor/small streams crisscrossing trail numerous times. Low flow and only one or two rocks to hop over.
 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Good shape. Wide, but main avenue to use ends up being one person wide. Very few rocks and no scrambles nor ledges, so easy, short, but somewhat steep hike. Nice to not have to deal with rocky trail for a change. |
 | Dog-Related Notes: |
Dog friendly. Saw three couples who were all kind enough to restrain or leash their loose dogs as our group came by. |
 | Bugs: |
Zero. |

 | Comments: |
Gorgeous day with stunning views straight across to Mt Washington from the front of Black Mountain Cabin (closed/locked), just .4 shy of summit that has limited views. Only an inch or so of crusty snow over leaves. Footing good in bareboot, but better with microspikes. No wind, so we shed layers early. |
