Comments
Comments: It was a mixed bag as far as conditions go. The trail had a thin covering of snow and many sections were open with running water. We bare booted up to about 1/2 mile from the hut where I put snowshoes on. There was a hard crust and drifts (5-11 inches) going up to the summit so we used spikes. Used snowshoes from the hut down to the junction of Lower Bruin. We left the upper part of VW in good condition and well packed. Experienced balling up snow on spikes on the way out, nevertheless an other great hike with T.T. E.S. and B.F.
