Comments
Comments: Carriage road was a nice warm up. Descent snowshoe track going up the Carriage Road. Once we turned on to the White Trail the footing got worse. Not much traffic between the Carriage road and the Belknap/Piper col. Once on the Old Piper Trail things firmed up more. The Piper Mountain Trail was well tracked out and solid. Some minor ice on the Piper Mountain Trail that was manageable. I did where snowshoes round trip. Light traction will work fine round trip but better on snowshoes and to build a better trail base. Breezy on the summit but the sun was nice and warm. Merry Christmas.
