Snowshoes! If only everyone wore them. Ran into 6 hikers, 3 with spikes which couldn't have helped much with the really soft snow. The trail is like mashed potatoes. Nice day out though. Sandwich mtn trail was packed with snowshoes when i got there and not so much when i left except for a short stint from the trail head to the sandwich wilderness sign. Drakes brook was also broken out but less heavily used. |
