Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: The road to Saddleback Ski Area (closed - being sold) is plowed and sanded since there are condominiums but the parking lots aren't sanded. We parked in the semi-circle loop at the base lodge (told to by plow guy) but someone in the office said we should have parked in the lot just below the loop.

Comments
Comments: Did this one with Monica and the Random Group of Hikers. Since the Ski Area is closed you can pretty much take any trail up to the top. We tended to stay to the right of the mountain along mostly green circle and blue square trails. The snow was spotty in some sections and deep in others. The section between Saddleback and Saddleback Horn hadn't been broken out so we had to do it. There were some ice floes along the exposed ledges and knee deep powder where the trail went back into the trees.
