Comments
Comments: Trail was well broken out the whole way to the summit. We were in microspikes. Most that went by us were in snowshoes. I would recommend the snowshoes as there was a ton of sliding around in the microspikes but it was manageable and we didn't change. Path up to the summit was tricky though. A series of rocks were iced over completely. A bunch of us queued and tried to figure out what to do. One guy got across in snowshoes- looked risky. Two women went in crampons and it looked easy. One women, a guy, and we went up the side of the trail hanging on to rocks and pine trees. She fell into a spruce trap that we were able to avoid as a result. She was in snowshoes. The rest of us were in spikes. Nice views from the summit and not too cold so we stayed a while enjoying lunch. Solid outing and I'm taking the crampons next outing.
