Wore snowshoes all day. All trails had been traveled yesterday but everything had fresh snow from overnight and plenty of drifting along the ridge. Saw 5 other people along the route - all wearing snowshoes - so these trails are now well broken but still pretty soft everywhere. A few short icy sections exposed in the regular spots heading into Carter Notch and along wildcat ridge but still manageable.
Overall, great conditions and snowshoeing for one of our favorite hikes. And today reminded us how much we enjoy these trails with snow. Nice to see Brenda, Renee, Bruce, Leslie, Sandy and Banjo out there today. And thanks to Rick for the ride back to our car!
