Cleared a lot of the small twigs and branches as we went. A couple larger step overs and duck unders on the way to the South Ledge, and mine |

Another amazing day in the woods. Great way to start the New Year! Iron Mtn Rd. is closed, it's 1.1 mile walk to the trailhead, the road was pretty packed down from snowmobiles and sledding. From the trailhead, follow the tree line till the trees swing to the left, you'll want to cut across the field to the right. You'll cut through a patch of woods to another field. In this field the trail looks like it splits, stay to the right and enter the woods. We packed it down very good with snowshoes going up and back the same way. We did make it to the South Ledges, we did not bother with the mines. Didn't look like anyone had been out there in awhile. Weather Witch did an amazing job at breaking the trail! |
