Comments
Comments: Carriage Road is pretty well packed to the AT junction with a smooth 1" coating on top. It was a little more cut up to the first Hurricane Trail junction from snowmobile tracks. A blowdown has kept snowmobiles at bay so from there the road up is smooth. AT was packed down nicely from snowshoers too. At the summit there was about 12 people who came and went while we were there. One of the most friendly summits I have ever seen and no wind at the top was a treat! Was able to ski from summit to the car with relatively good ski conditions. Saw five more skiers heading up as I was coming down. One more 8" storm will really help the whole route. Real pleasant day given that temps were around 0 most of the day.
