Comments
Comments: Got on trail at 1015 and was back to parking area by 1415. Only saw 4 other people all day. Two wore snowshoes, two didn't. My wife and I wore Hillsounds and were fine for the most part. Postholed 4 or 5 times as we got closer to the top. Beautiful sunny day. Very windy and cold. I would guess it was single digits or below with wind chill from the peak of Starr King to Waumbek. Great view of the presidentials from Starr King. Met woman at top of Starr King who had just recently left a position on the board of the 4000 footer club. I think she had done all the NH48 and the ADk46 in both winter and summer. Great day...great hike. Cold as !@#$
