Comments
Comments: greenleaf trail was packed and well solidified all the way to eagle pass. fast going and good grip with snowshoes. a bit of a sidehill just below the pass. i followed the trail a bit beyond the pass and hit the woods contouring around at about 3k before starting to head up while still trending nw. crust was sometimes supportive and sometimes not. probably 2-3 feet of snow in general. great going to start until it got cliffy around 3200. i slabbed a bit more nw then headed up on a very steep, but cliff free line. i mostly punched through the crust on the steep ascent. some scrappy woods, but never too thick. grades moderated a bit before the summit which i hit just north of the recognized highpoint. great views from the highpoint and nearby view ledge. i descended in my tracks back to the trail and had a nice quick snowshoe out.
