Comments
Comments: A loop over Firescrew and Cardigan via the Manning Trail.

Frozen post holes on the Manning Trail. There were some frozen ice flows that we had to skirt alongside of. The views from the three ledges were fantastic.

Cold winds out on the open but not as bad as we thought they would be. Terrific views as always traversing Firescrew with large sections of bare rock. We did not huddle for too long near the fire tower. Tremendous views in all directions under today's clear skies.

The initial descent off the ridge on the Clark Trail was bare rock until we reached the Warden's Cabin. There were then more frozen ice flows but further down it was frozen granular/packed down trail. Saw a large group of boy scouts, about 15, heading up the the High Cabin. A fantastic day to be out!
