One duckunder on Piper between the CBT and West Side junctions that requires a limbo. Piper could use some more cairns above treeline. Folks are wandering about as the blazes painted on the ledges are snow covered. |

Was looking for an easy route today and this was perfect. Both trails are packed solid. I wore spikes all day but up top you could do spikes or crampons. I saw people in both. Surprisingly little ice on the ledges, just packed snow. The gulley and summit ledges are mostly bare rock. Very smooth and fast trails today. I started early and was the first one up, but passed several people on the way down. Nice to meet Nick as I was leaving the summit! |
