Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Fish Hatchery gate is open and looks to be .....snowed open?? snow around it. Road was plowed, however icy. 2 wheel sedan with new snow tires was fine. 
Surface Conditions
Surface Conditions: Standing/Running Water on Trail, Snow - Spring Snow, Snow/Ice - Postholes 
Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment: Snowshoes 
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: Many small water crossing near beginning/bottom - all easily crossed. One section of trail had water in trail with trace snow over rocks - tricky making way up trail with the rocks in snowshoes.  
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Snowshoes are recommended. Snowshoes from start to finish. Trail was packed with some loose snow on top. The trail was much softer at the end of the day. Roughly 20 barebooting and 6 in snowshoes.

Dog-Related Notes: Zoe loves winter hiking. Met 2 other dogs on trail.

Comments
Comments: A nice hike with Rachel and Zoe. Met many people along the way including Waumbek, and John and Pepper.
Many people in micro-spikes did fine aside from the occasional postholing in some areas.
