| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
Difficult to park on or near Kelsey Notch Rd. As we were debating our next course of action, a camp owner drove by and asked us if we were OK. Upon hearing we were looking for a place to park, he told us to park at his camp 2.5 miles further on Bungy Rd. |

| Comments: |
From the camp, we followed a bearing of approx 120-degrees eventually hitting a snomo trail that we followed a short distance. We then set a bearing for a point south of N. Baldhead. Approx 200' below the summit, the gentle terrain and open hard woods gave way to steep, ledgy terrain with impenetrable spruce. Heading south along the edge of the hardwoods/spruce border, we eventually found a decent opening in the spruce. We were then able to thread our way through these spruce until we came to open or stick woods all the way to the summit. The summit is well defined with a few bumps competing for the high point.
For this bw, we opted for high flotation snowshoes which ensured very little sinking and prevented all postholes except for a couple in the sprucy area. |
