Leave the snowshoes in the car for this one- light traction the whole way. The trail was like a sidewalk, and aside from a few minor icy spots, light traction will do just the trick. Way too bony for snowshoes, crampons are overkill. Great views from the summit and fire tower as usual.
Hiked this one during a 5 hour gap in between classes, and still got back over an hour before my 5 pm class started. |
