Really nicely packed trail for snow-shoes ... someone had a nightmare of a post-holing stagger both up and down apparently a day or so ago ... but walking the center is fine ... until you get out of tree cover. It was a drifting blowing white-out up top, one of the worst I've almost not found my way down from ... drifts not deeper than 4'-5' at worst though. Cairns very heavily covered and hard to recognize even up close. Trail itself very walkable, I just had a rather "invigorating" find-my-way moment descending when, in under 1min, all my tracks up were gone. |
