Comments
Comments: Wore snowshoes all day. Followed 3 sets of snowshoes on a lightly broken but still soft trail until a few tenths below Unknown Pond. We saw the group of 3 near where they turned around. Thanks for the trailbreaking. Walked across the pond (it was beautiful in winter!) and bushwhacked back to trail at the far end of pond. Deep powder along the ridge but managed to stay mostly on trail over the Horn and Bulge. We lost the trail on the final climb up Cabot but managed to pop out on the summit coming from the backside. From there, trail was well broken back to the trailhead. Pleased to make it back to the car before needing headlamps given the long drive and late start. Nice day out and enjoyed the views from the Horn before the clouds rolled in.
