Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: We parked at the Gilford Elementary School in the southeast corner where the trailhead is. It was a school day but there were a number of empty spaces. There didn't appear to be any other hikers about this day. After completing the GES Nature Trail, which ends at the other end of the school property, we then returned to the car by walking across the front of the school through the playground and along the street, rather than across the back of the school. We didn't want to raise any suspicions.

Comments
Comments: A day of redlining in the Belknaps. After this hike we proceeded to Lockes Hill (described in a separate report). We started up the Mt. Rowe Trail Blue trail took a right on the Benjamin Weeks Trail, then headed north on the North Spur trail, then back west to descend on the upper part of the Mt. Rowe Trail. Then we went back up on the Yellow Trail, then back down the Mt. Rowe Trail again, then we did the GES Nature Trail. A nice walk in the woods. Thanks for the company of Lone Wolf.
