Comments
Comments: The trail was hard to find at the start due to logging. There were also some confusing snowshoe tracks. Soon I got on the right track and found the first 0.4mi to the Tate Mtn tr. to be broken. The route was hard to pick down low, but anything close to the brook cannot be too far off. Fortunately blazing got better higher up. The breaking was not too bad at first, but got harder and was relentless due to the duration. The steeps going up to the Black Snout tr. were very difficult. Snow was warm and balling. The Black Snout tr. had more supportive snow, and the high ridge was snomo-packed for the last 0.4 of the hike. The view was spectacular.
