Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: We saw none on the trail today. But the amount of dog poop in the middle of and right next to the trail was unbelievable. Especially in the first half mile. Please, pick up after your dogs! It was nearly impossible to not step in it as it was everywhere and was being tracked all over the trail. Nasty.

Comments
Comments: Due to the unseasonably warm temperatures, the snow on the trail was soft and unstable. There were many places where people had post holed, but we all wore snowshoes, so we were able to walk over most of the holes without issue. Step just a few inches off of the trail though and even your snowshoes will post hole.

It was a clear, beautiful, warm day and the visibility was great. One big grey cloud hung stubbornly over the summit, but the rest of the sky was bright blue with fluffy clouds. We had a great time sledding down the steepest parts of the mountain, doing our best to try to smooth out the trail a bit. ;)
