I started out shortly before the ski lifts closed, heading up ski trails along the lift lines towards the summit. Trails are a little icy, but not bad. I used snowshoes for traction. I noted that the former recognized highpoint is gone. By the time I got to the top, lifts had stopped. I walked the ski trails towards oscar, soon picking up the hiking trail, which was well broken out. This took me to the Oscar ledges; I was a bit too early for sunset, but had a great view. I took the most direct ski trails back to the base.
Good quick second hike of the day with some great views. |
