Comments
Comments: We started walking on the packed corridor 5, which is also the cohos tr. We turned up the road that begins the Deer mountain trail and is marked in blue. The trail leaves shortly on the left. We took the trail 3/4 of the way to the top of Deer and began a bushwhack up to the ridge and towards the south peak. We were able to pick openings in the woods for a good chunk of the ridge walk. Snow depths are still significant, but snow was very well consolidated with a bit of new powder on top and the occasional fragile spot. As we neared the south peak, we began pushing through tight snow-loaded woods. Soon we were at the recognized highpoint.

We returned to the trail in our tracks and chose to hike up to the tower on the main peak. The trail took care to follow and we did lose it at one point. Upon reaching the tower and enjoying some views through the trees, we followed our tracks out.

Big congratulations to bryan, who finished the NH 200 in Winter on the South Peak.
