Cold blustery day. Half-Way House Trail looks to have received about an inch or so of new snow in the last week, but was in great shape and easy to follow. The White Arrow was a different story. Lots and lots of ice. Microspikes needed minimally. I saw some full crampon tracks on my way back down. The last steep section before treeline is covered in ice and requires a slight bushwhack around. Above treeline was not bad but I did lose the trail for a bit heading down. Crystal clear day, so no complaining here! |
