Comments
Comments: I walked about 0.3 mi. down the well packed Pemi East Side trail; I then turned and began to bushwhack east towards the peak, aiming for the south edge of the ridge to avoid steeps. Trail breaking was not nearly as tough as I expected; I wore snowshoes the entire way and sunk no more than 6in., except in a few spots on the ridge. Lower woods were open hardwoods. Things stayed open, with the occasional brush of spruce. I hit the ridge at the south end and walked it north to the recognized highpoint. I took my own tracks down. Highpoint could use a notebook.
