Comments
Comments: I started by walking up to the height of land on RT. 118. I then put on snowshoes and followed the spine to the north towards the ridge. Snow was semi-consolodated and I could feel and hear it settling as the shifted my weight. I was sinking up to a foot or more with snowshoes and tails, but for the most part only about 6 in. Woods were open up to the ridge. I then aimed for the highpoint as I crossed the gentle westerly step. Things were thick in places, but never too bad. I followed this up to the recognized highpoint, hitting some medium/thick woods near the summit. There was a nice view of Kineo from snowpack near the summit.
