Plenty of parking at Ferncroft parking lot,we were one of 6 cars. Although for some reason about 10+ cars parked on main roadway, bringing it down to one tight lane! |

One large blowdown on Old Mast Trail |

Old Mast Road from parking lot to Kelly Trail had a ski track. Broke trail through 4-6" up to 4-way junction. Started up Square Ledge Trail, breaking trail through 12-18" unconsolidated snow. Not many paint marks heading north, really none. Tried for a bout 1/2 mile but lost trail, keeping deeper. Decided to head back and wait for another day. Still a nice day, saw no one on these trails today. There were no tracks at the 4-way junction. |
