Comments
Comments: Varied conditions today. Used snowshoes car to car. Took Mt Roberts trail up, packed but sticky snow with some bare rock on the ledges - snowshoes, boots, or traction fine. Heading down high ridge and faraway a different story! Only tracks on Sunday were one set of ski tracks and a gentleman that bare booted. Deeper snow was not well consolidated when we traversed high ridge and then down faraway - person who barebooted was sinking along both trails with many postholes in the center of the track of a foot or deeper. The 2 of us snowshoed and tracked it out though it is by no means smooth or consolidated so snowshoes are a must for now. Snow depths decreased as we headed down cold spring trail. Good day out with great views.
