Comments
Comments: The trail is snow covered the whole way. I used microspikes all the way and just carried snow shoes. The trail was frozen solid on my way up since I started at 8:30 AM but was softening on my way down. Most of the trail was hard packed but it is a little choppy up high with foot prints in 4 or 5 inches of snow. Snow shoes will be required soon as the temps keep rising since there is deep snow up high on the trail. Washington was in the clouds but there were great views of Chocorua and other mountains. Winds were gusty and the tower was moving around a little so I didn't stay inside long. All in all a great hike taking 2 hours up and an hour and a half down.
