Comments
Comments: Pretty standard route up to the Moose. The numerous creeks along the trail are higher than usual, but nothing to worry about. Monorail started at about 3000 ft on Glencliff. We put spikes on shortly thereafter. Snowshoes would be way overkill. The monorail was pretty stable until you get to the trail junction with Carriage Road. Once on Carriage Road the monorail is still pretty stable as you approach the summit. When you break treeline, the snow disappears and it's just bare rock. Only saw a couple people out today. Good views all around. Talked to a couple hikers who said the road is halfway open to the new lodge down by Gorge Brook.
