Comments
Comments: The trail all the way to Surprise was completely dry and snow free. The rock ledges were also ice and snow free, making for easy climbing today! As I reached 2,500/3,000 feet, microspikes were my preferred footwear. The monorail was rock solid after about 3,000 feet and I was not postholing one bit! I reached the summit just in time to enjoy the amazing 360 for a few minutes before the freezing rain started! An easy and fast descent made for a perfect day hike!
