| Comments: |
Another great day for hiking though the only people I saw were a couple coming back from Emerald Pond - no one on the trail up to the summit. An easy climb all the way to the top - never steep and great views from the summit. Baldface Circle - a few stretches of mud and water on the trail up to Circle Junction som e of which are fairly deep. On Slippery Brook a lot of mud and some water on the trail though for the most part it was not deep and you won't sink. Lots of leaf fall on the trail which is hiding roots, rocks, and mud in some places. Eastman Trail - Patches of snow at the trail junction with Slippery Brook - snow cover on trail becomes more consistent as you ascend to the summit though it's only about half an inch deep. No need for traction today. Summit ledges were dry. |
