Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: This was a workshop for the AMC-NH Chapter Spring School. Along the Woodland Trail and the section of the Clark Trail along the road we did very little beyond removing a few minor blowdowns. As Clark went into its wooded section we put in a couple of ditches and channeled a stream so that the first 50' or so are somewhat drier. Up to the junction with the Vistamont Trail we again took out a minor blowdown and helped a few streams exit the trail. Many remain to be cleared for the spring.

Comments
Comments: A very few, very brief, very avoidable bits of monorail remained up to the warden's cabin. Two of us summited via the Clark Trail, encountering the adopter for that section. He and friends had been clearing drains. Very windy at the summit, 30 - 40 mph, enough to just about blow us over.
