Comments
Comments: We hiked up 19 mile to the hut, then traversed the ridge on Friday. The conditions were very, very variable. We bare-booted the whole way, the monorail was stable enough when it needed to be, and it would have been a pain to switch back and forth all day, especially with the incoming rain and all. Lots and lots of post holing between the 3 of us. Lots and lots of snow above 3500/4000 feet, but the steep parts are generally bare, along with any big exposed rocks on the ridge. Overall a good hike, we were able to beat the rain.
