Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: !!!Don't try to go to Guinea Pond itself, the spur is totally impassable as it appears beaver have altered the course of a stream or something and the whole area is submerged, can't even bushwack. The 3 water crossings on the Guinea Pond Trail towards Guinea Pond require you to put boots into 2 to 4 inches of water with even the best choice of submerged rock

Comments
Comments: Awesome weather day. Wentworth trail up to Israel basically dry, and there are some nice view ledges around the summit area. On a whim, I decided to create a Mt. Israel loop. Descending Mead trail had some areas flowing with water, mud pits. Don't try to use Guinea Pond Trail to get to Guinea pond (read water crossing notes). Guinea Pond Trail out to road, had some flooded sections and strangely only ice I saw, but with the leaves down there were often views towards Sandwich Dome and marshes, and one nice pond like view framing Sandwich Dome and Black Mt. Sandwich road walk (dirt rd) was probably around 2+ miles, hilly, actually had one neat section with waterfalls and 100+foot high boulders and cliffs. Cut across Bearcamp River Trail, Beede falls is a very nice 50 ft high waterfall coming down a solid polished white slab, neat caves. In the end, unless you feel like meandering purposely, I wouldn't recommend my loop. Just hike the wentworth trail.
