Comments
Comments: It was a very hott day out. The fording was unexpecting and the trail barely hasd a blaze on it on the way up... thanks wilderness. We were able to follow it regardless, just a little iffy when you get to a bog and no idea where you need to hop to get to. We didn't hit snow on the trail til about 3200' but only for 20 feet or so. Then clear of snow up til past the lookout on passaconaway did we hit another little stretch with a lot of water, then the short turn off to the peak with a monorail. The actual peak was free of snow. We headed back down and met steve smith doing some trail maintenance to pass cut off. We didn't expect to ford the river after we saw them but we had too. River may be high for the times... but no idea as first time out here.
