Comments
Comments: Still trying to manage an ankle injury so I rode my mountain bike as far as I could on the Guinea Pond Trail. There are many places I could only push the bike - water was just too deep in places. Major standing water near the southern-most beaver pond.

Tried to get to Flat Mountain Ponds, or, even just the trail but the beaver pond blocking the trail was just too big and I didn't want to push bike through the woods. Headed back to look for the Guinea Pond Spur trail but couldn't find it - swore I passed it on my way east but tried a couple times to find on the way back - I think I found it but ended up in another beaver swamp.

Black Mountain Pond was quite spectacular: I had just settled in for lunch on a big warm rock on the southern shore when I heard/saw a large moose walk the entire opposite shore of the pond - an amazing experience - I probably wouldn't have been in that spot and taking an "easy" day if I hadn't had the ankle injury. I hope I don't ever forget it :)

Beautiful!!!!!
