| Parking/Access Road Notes: |
When I arrived approx. 7:30 there was plenty of parking, but as I left around 3:30 you could see a lot of creative parking going on. |

Most of the water crossings on Falling Waters were fine with a little looking around and planning. I took off my boots for one crossing, but probably could have gone across with them on. |

It was a beautiful day for a hike, and it seems everyone knew it would be, because the trails were highways!
As for traction--there were 3 types of people today. Those who had spikes with them (I was among these), those who didn't and wish they did, and those who probably don't know what spikes are. Everyone made it up, so keep that in mind when planning what you bring. Also, a lot of the snow and ice are melting away, so that in a few days it will likely be negligible. River crossings may get easier as well, since it sounds like they had been more difficult yesterday compared to today. Both these concerns were just on Falling Waters. The other trails were fine, no traction needed. There are patches of ice on Greenleaf above treeline, but nothing major. |
