Parking/Access Road Notes
Parking/Access Road Notes: Parking is on the side of Lake Road - be mindful of the several 'no parking' signs in the area. Mine was the first one there this morning, maybe 10-12 scattered about @ noon.
Surface Conditions

Recommended Equipment
Recommended Equipment:
Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: None on this route.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: The top of a felled tree encroaches most of the trail early on. No blazes on this route but it signed and cairns show the way on the upper half.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: No allowed here - signs serve as a reminder.
Bugs
Bugs: Only a few black flies when I stopped and there was no breeze.
Lost and Found
Lost and Found: Lost: most of my camera's functionality when I dropped it for it's final time :(

Comments
Comments: This trail is in really nice shape and a coolish morning with a fair amount of sun made for a pleasant ascent. Once at the top there were only a handful of others but soon enough the masses started to appear and that was my cue to leave. On the way down I sat on a lower ledge for quite some time with a fine view of the Wapack Range...no one found me there :)

On my way out a few runners with numbers passed me on their ascent - I asked one of them (walking) what was going on. Apparently there was a race which started from Manchester and was going to end on the other side of the mountain (!)
