Comments
Comments: My friend Kris wanted to stay at Madison hut and we planned this outing a few weeks ago. Windy and sometimes a little wet but we were very lucky to reach the hut before the sky opened up. Hut had 22 guests and 3 croo. I haven't stayed in a hut in a few decades, um huts have electricity and there are nightlights above all the bunks, food was excellent. We were the only two people from NH everyone seemed to be from PA or NY. We really enjoyed taking trails other than Valley Way, we had the trails to ourselves. Easy rock hop up and down Quincy. Clouds came in quick while on Adam's summit and they cleared for a while while but came back as we descended via Lowe's Path. Ate our lunch at Grey Knob, chatted with the caretaker, he had three guests last night and a Zero last weekend. Good outing.
