Water Crossing Notes
Water Crossing Notes: All crossings were very small.
Trail Maintenance Notes
Trail Maintenance Notes: Trails in great shape. The Western and Eastern Trails are well marked and signed. The trails around Round Pond were missing a few key signs for the Mack Ridge Tr and Klem-Mack Loop.
Dog-Related Notes
Dog-Related Notes: Hooray for Marlie for bagging all 12 Belknap peaks in one hike! Other than Round Pond, there is very little water along this route.
Bugs
Bugs: Some mosquitoes, some black flies, and many ticks. I had 5 and Marlie had 21.

Comments
Comments: This was may first visit to the Belknaps so I went all in. Very nice set of mountains with a diverse trail system and excellent views. The terrain varies from gravel roads to soft pineneedles and ledgy scrambles to open flat summits. I went for the patch this time, but I'll be sure to return to check out the many other trails. Thanks Roberta for joining and making the car spot possible.
