Comments
Comments: New Reed Trail is initially not signed or marked (except for a SPNF gate). Basically stick with the main logging road until you get to the stone staircase at the end of a large logging landing. Thereafter, the trail is blazed in blue.

The Reed Trail has easy grades and decent footing as it weaves its way through skid and logging roads. A few muddy areas. Quite a few views along the way due to the somewhat recent logging. The trail ends at the Quarry Trail in the col just west of East Quarry, just east of Middle Quarry. Just over a mile from the gate to the Quarry Trail, then less than a tenth of a mile to the summit of East Quarry.
