Comments
Comments: Mud. Lots of it. Not too bad on the way up Bunnell Notch Trail to Cabot Cabin. But, like walking through a stream/swamp on the way down Unknown Pond Trail. We had rain gear for the quick thunderstorm that rolled through, but it was quite wet out there even considering that. The overgrown ferns draped over the trail, then soaked with water, added to the wet time. All in all, a nice day to get out and the views from The Horn were quite nice. I was surprised by the amount of mud and running water all over the place. Not suck your boot off mud generally, but 2-4 inches pretty consistently. Be prepared. Extra socks for a change advised. High, waterproof boots for sure
