Started late 11:30 AM and a light rain was ending after a very heavy down pour on the drive to the trails. Coming down Carter Dome after you first see the Carter Notch Hut from up on high, was slippery and you had to be careful. Trails were well marked. Spent the nut in the hut with great food & crew! The highlight was 869,a hut rookie asking where the shower was so he could wash up before dinner. We set him up and got a good laugh after a tough hike! We took Nineteen Mile Brook Trail out the next morning (6/25) and the trail had dried up significantly! |
