Plenty of parking at the AMC Cardigan Lodge. Sadly, Shem Valley Road is developing some washboarding, just a week after being regraded. |

Dry Trail, Wet Trail, Wet/Slippery Rock, Mud - Significant |

Not an issue -- although nice to see a little bit of flow in the streams that were dry last week. |

 | Trail Maintenance Notes: |
Trails are in decent shape -- nothing really to note except significant mud in poorly draining areas of Holt-Clark Cutoff, with the usual trail-widening-in-order-to-avoid-mud herd paths becoming a bit more evident. |

Some eye flies and mosquitoes down low. Not an issue on the windy summits. |

A fine sunrise hike this morning. Parking area at the lodge was more or less empty at 3:30 am, but almost full three hours later. |
